Dear George:
As we discussed during your visit, in order to avoid
interrupting the production cycle on System Two equipment,
it is highly desirable that we place orders promptly for long
lead time items. Based on our present schedule estimates,
we should have materials for an additional quantity of System
Two production available no later than June 10th, to keep
the production activity operating on a continuous basis. To
meet this timing and based on your verbal authorization, we
have placed orders during the week of April 16th, for eight
week and longer lead time items. Such orders were placed
for seven (7) additional ground-based systems and eighteen
(18) additional airborne systems. The following is a list of
the items so ordered and an estimate of their cost:
