1. Pursuant to previous discussions, it is felt necessary
to clarify the funding situation on the contracts with the sub-
ject Company. The present dollars available for use through
30 June 1959, and proposals in band are listed below:

tinued engineering services for System 1

(This is presently in technical review).
2. It is anticipated that Contract No. A-101 which is
the major equipment contract will be completed not later than
30 June 1959. Amendment No. 18 which is currently being
written will be the last amendment to this contract. The con-
tract cannot be completed earlier because of work being performed
for Customer 3 ($G). Contract No. A-102 which is for maintenance
and overhaul of equipment will be required on a yearly basis and
its funding is based on the volume we return for rework. Contract
No. EF-CT-699 is a new Call-Type contract which will be used for
the procurement of spare parts, modification kits, etc., and will
be funded in accordance with our requirements. In effect, Con-
tracts Nos. A-102 and HF-CT-699 are based upon operational needs
and it is not anticipated that the Contractor can always estimate
properly in these cases. The main area of concern is centered
in the areas of proposals for additional work now in technical
