Reference is made to your letter of August 280 1958, DPS-36830 wherein you
disallow payment of $409437 on Invoice No. 17330 stating hat the related
transportation appeared to be for the personal benefit of
We -wish to advise that was originally scheduled for an overseas
assignment. However, While in California welting for transportation he was
reassigned to the "Ranch" on a permanent basis and therefore returned to
Pleasantville for his automobile.
We feel that we were obliged to allow to return for his automobile,
which is almost an absolute necessity on ors c assignments, And consequently,
that this chare should be an allowable item of cost under subject contract.
As a further note, our records indicate that the application of Invoice Numbers
