SUBJECT : High Speed Tracks Detected on Alaska
NORAD Region Radars
1. On 8 October 1964, 081, DD/StsT,
asked whether the OXCART or KEDLOCK vehicles had flown
into the Alaska area between 0249Z and 0518Z 10 August
1964. The Control Center advised that none of our
vehicles had flown on either the 9th or 10th of August.
2.F------1- 9]stated that DOD report #1540000464
dated 20 August64 from Elmendorf APB reported picking
up tracks on the Alaska NORAD Region radar between
1200-2000 knots. The altitude could not be determined.
