1. This document constitutes Amendment No. 4 to Contract
No. A733(600)-359o.6 between Haller, Raymond and Brown, Inc., and
the United States of America, and amends the contract as herein-
after set forth.
2.. The Govern men requires additional equipment which the
Contractor has the facilities and teChnical capabilities to
develop and improve on an expedited basin and is desirous of
extending the period of performance of the contract; therefore,
it is in the best interest of the Government that the Contract
be amended as follows;
a. PART I to the Schedule of Contract No, AP33(600)-35906
is amended to include the following:*
"(n) To furnish five (5) units of field modification
on the recorder in accordance with Contractor's
letter dated 12 May 1958.1"
b. PART 1.1 PFAIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND DELIVERIES is
amended to read as fellows;

1. This memorandum contains a recommendation submitted for
approval of the Project Director, Such recommendation is set
forth in Paragraph 5 below.
2. Ceirrt.rant poo SC-990 dated 26 June 1957 provides for
and circuit board spares for the Project and
air rams, together with eight distributive amplifiers for the
Project. Amendment No. I authorized five preamplifiers, together
with procurement of parts for an mArlitinrall 44,ree units, and added
four spiral antennas for the Project.
Additional work on the together with crating and
shipping charges were also covered ror the Project and Air Force.
Asundment no, 2 authorized construction of six *Happpaour-Boxes",
purchase of four spare power supplies for the 30-300 mc preampli-
fiers, and covered costs incurred on the accessory units for the
140.1 and N-1 racks up to the date of termination for the Project.
Amendment No. 3 authorizes construction of twelve (12) 150-300 mc
preamplifiers (two for the Project and ten for the Air Force) and
? modification of one (1) System 1 recorder and furnishing of
'6:5 modification kits for recorders in the field for the Project.

4? Certification of fUnds for this contract will to handled
under the procedure approved by the Director of Central Intelligence
on 13 December 1956, which in effect results in all 10(b) expense*
involving issuance of Treasury Checks being accumulated in a
separate account within the YUMAN! Division. The amounts in this
account will be periodically scheduled for certification of the
vouchers by the Director. This procedure eliminates the necessity
for a separate certification of authority under Section 10(b) of
Public Law 110, Slot Congress, for each contract.
5. Approval of Amendment No. 3 to Contract No. SC.990 and
execution thereof on behalf of the Agency by the authorized Project
Contracting Officer is recommended.
