SUBJECT Staff Meeting - 14 March 1961

1. Colonel Beerli advised that at the last vision Chiefs meeting

2. General Lansdale is now working for Mr. Roswell Gilpatrick,
Deputy Secretary, DOD, who will be Defense's representative to the 54-12
committee. It was speculated that this move would obviate the present
functions of General Erskine's office and as a result Colonel Prouty might
not enjoy his current association with the Agency.

3. The budget is the most pressing item at the time and we as a 25X 25X A
Division must meet the deadline to the DDP of 22 March.

4. Colonel Beerli indicated that the Division will be short of space
in the new building and that it had been proposed to the Division that 25
of our overflow positions be located on a different floor and on the other
side of the building from the main DPD location. DPD went on record
that this arrangement was not satisfactory and we would register nOncon-
currence to the proposal.
8. The Fund Drive and the move this date were also covered.
6. Colonel Beerli requested that the Branch Chiefs explain the reor-
ganization of the Division to their employees. The Branch Chiefs were
requested to submit organizational breakdowns to Colonel Beerli for
approval. Once approved functional statements should be written in coor-
dination with Chief, Admin Branch, DPI).

7. Colonel Beerli announced that he plans to brief all employees of
the Division on the present status of DPD activities and operations and
our plans for the future. A briefing schedule will be not up so that each
and every employee will be apprised of DPD activities. This program
will be implemented as soon as present work in the Control Room has
been completed.
S. Mr. Parangosky was requested to prepare a status briefing on
OXCART and CORONA for presentation at Thursday's meeting.
