C Approved For Release 2001 /0 4 : CIA k P81600961 8000100120086-9 - , 7 4 .z- 26 September 1962 tE 1ORANI'3UM FOR THE RECORD I attended a briefing yesterday on the subject of drugs as an r? id to interrogation. The following was gleaned from the rather prolonged intra-professional exchange. 1. There are no known "brain-washing" drugs. 2. If the interrogator wishes to "break" the sub- ject completely, drugs will speed the process, but roust be used in conjunction with physical and mental abuse. .3. There may be some value in pre-exposing; personnel subject to capture to a hallucinageni.c agent so that they will be better prepared for its profound effects if used on them in a future situation. 'a. Recommendation: That Medical Staff be asked to comment on the value of pre-exposure of our drivers to hailucinagenic agents. 25X1A Distribution: Copy 1 - Personnel Branch 2 - Intel/OSA 3 - RI/OSA Approved For Release 20 3/ ~I -RDP81 B00961 R000100120086-9
