security probes against our domestic field installations.

During Fiscal Year 1964 it is anticipated that approximately
36 Cl type security probes will be directed against our domestic
field activities anKi other areas in which we have an interest or are
desirous of testing the security. The purpose of these probes is
o salmon the general security capabilities of the suppliers with whom
we are doing business and to test our own (Agency) security capa-
bilities within the structure of these companies. They are also
designed to test the effectiveness of the security of our domestic field
installations and to obtain a sampling of the attitude of the general
public in the immediate areas of these installations, as well as the
attitude of the contractor and Government personnel employed on the
periphery of activities in which we have interest.
