MEMORANDUM FOR : Deputy for Technology, Office of Special Activities
SUBJECT : Reconnaissance Version of TFX
1. In a conversation with Bill Holcomb on 25 September, he told me
that the Reconnaissance Project Officer for the TFX responsible for both the
Air Force and Navy reconnaissance configurations of this airplane is a Lt.
Commander Belk, USN, SPO at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
2. Holcomb was on his way to General Dynamics at Forth Worth
26 and 27 September, apparently in Commander Belk' a company,
seemed interested in having it known to you and to your office that Belk was
the over-all Project Officer for this recce version and that he, Holcomb,
would be happy to do anything necessary to introduce any of us to Belk should
we have interests or problems related to sub-systems for this weapons
system,. The above is for whatever it is worth to you, particularly as it
might involve
