Mr. Stan Taylor
It has recently come to my attention that you have
left your full-time position with the Senate Select
Committee on Intelligence in order to return to your
home in Utah and the teaching profession.
I want, therefore, to recognize and thank you for
your extraordinary performance during your tenure with
the Committee. You have been uniquely able to serve
both the need of the Congress to maintain a vigorous
and independent system of oversight of intelligence, and
the need of the Intelligence Community for the support,
where appropriate, and understanding of the Congress.
Your activities while with the Committee have gone a
long way towards the fulfillment of the goal of mutual
understanding and respect and have helped move us
closer towards a smoothly functioning and harmonious
oversight process. For this I wish to express to you
my sincere appreciation, on behalf of my staff and
the entire Intelligence Community.
Those on my staff who have worked most closely
with you will miss you and we all wish you the best in
your future endeavors.
