Mr. Blakey, Chief Counsel and Director for the Select
Committee can Assassinations, has reviewed those CIA recordF
containing your name which were identified in responding
to your Freedom of Information Act request of 20 June 1975.
He has determined that they are exempt from the HSCA "Mora-
torium on Records Destruction".
We have accordingly taken steps to carry out your re-
quest that they be destroyed. The custodians of the Teco
systems in which they were originally located have been
instructed to destroy them.
I have advised your attorney, Mr. Berman, of our action.
I have also advised him that we are required to keep the
correspondence concerned with your original request and
subsequent appeal for four years, pursuant to 5 U.S.C.
552a(d)(3). It will then be destroyed automatically, in
accordance with the General Records Schedule 14, approved by
the Archivist of the United States.
