With regard to the CIA, it was noted again that the Subcommittee had no particular problem regarding access to Agency material, but the Chairman did ask whether additional Subcommittee staff persons could be granted access in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, and whether the Agency would be willing to undertake additional file traces should the Subcommittee decide to investigate specific cases in addition to those previously. looked at by the GAO. The undersigned responded that the Agency would be willing to amend the Memorandum of Understanding to provide for access by additional Subcommittee staff persons holding appropriate security clearances, and that the Agency was quite willing to cooperate with the Subcommittee's investigation by undertaking additional file traces should these be requested. ~'~~. _". ~...' ~?,; f i `may` t 1 i : ! i'ts ~. r1 ~.
