SUBJECT Removal of Embargo of Additional
Information to the Fraser. Committee
REFERENCE OLC 78-1112, 16 March 1978, with
attachment
1. This is to advise you that the Attorney General's
embargo on the release of additional information to the
Subcommittee on International Organizations, House Committee
on International Relations (Fraser Committee), has been
lifted effective with the signing by the Director and
Congressman Fraser, on 16 March .1978, of the attached addendum
to the Memorandum of Understanding (M/U) between the Committee
and the CIA.. This ammended M/U permits the Subcommittee and.
certain selected staff members to renew their access to Agency
material and'conduct interviews with present or former
staffers.
2.. The-M/U is adopted from a Subcommittee/DOJ agreement
and has been discussed with Mr. Paul Michel for the Department
of Justice.
