SUBJECT : Justice Department Amendments to Polygraph Bill (S. 1845)
1. The Justice Department amendments were developed in coordinatior.
with OLC and this Office. We therefore concur in the proposed language, but
with one qualification.
2. The intelligence agency exemption in section 247 (b) (1) (B) of the bill
should include "employees of contractors" along with "contractors." We unde3?_.
stand that this omission was inadvertent and that the Justice Department will
circulate an addendum to correct it.
