C. 20505 C1}3a4 r z The situation in Somalia and Ethiopia has prompted considerable interest by Members of the Committee as to the intelligence community's performance in assessing the situation there. The Committee will receive a detailed briefing on Somalia and Ethiopia next week; however, it is interested in pursuing the issue in greater depth. To this end it would be appreciated if you would provide the Committee with all Central Intelligence Agency published reports, appraisals and estimates on Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Afars and Issas during calendar years 1976, 1977 and up to the present.
