SUBJECT: Senator Jackson's Request
for Briefing on Mexican Oil
Grenville Garside, Staff Director,
Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee,
called today to request a briefing for Senator
Jackson on the Mexican oil production and
reserves situation for Tuesday, 5 December,
in Jackson's office. Present will be:
the Senator, Mr. Garside, and Betsy Moler,
Staff Counsel of the Co-nmit.tee. Ms. Moler
then telephoned to request us to bring, if
we could, three documents recently published
by the Office, of Economic Research:
1) The Weekly Economic Review, 26 Oct 78,
dealing with Mexico's manufactured
exports
2) The Weekly Economic Review, 23 Nov 78,
dealing with the Mexican impact of
rapid population growth
3) ER-78-10626, Mexican Oil and Gas
Reserves, Production arid Restraints
It is satisfactory to 'Is. Moler for us to bring
these doctuients with us on 5 December. She
