SUBJECT HSCA Request, OLC 78-2137
1. Subject letter requests "access to any investigative
reports done by either CIA or NPIC concerning these photographs".
The photographs ~e to are those in Howard
of Security file Our conversation with
OS, identified the photographs as those of three individuals
detained by Dallas police on the day President Kennedy was
assassinated.
2. We do not know of any "investigative reports"
concerning the photographs mentioned above. We understand
that the Committee staffers have had access to and read a
set of briefing notes prepared by NPIC on the above
mentioned photographs. Since the notes were used for
briefing rather than a formal written report they are not
marked as to classification. The notes should be classified
CONFIDENTIAL since they reveal methods and intelligence
capabilities. We are taking action now to so classify the
notes.
3. This completes DDSET action on subject request.
