1. (Unclassified - MG) LIAISON Received a call from
Duane Barnes, Library of Congress, who wanted to know the
status of his previous request for a wall chart. I told
him that since the document is six years old, we only have
it on film and it will take a few more days to have it
blown up and printed.
2. (Unclassified - MG) LIAISON Received a call from
Sue Anne, in the office of Representative Danforth Quayle
(R., Ind.), who requested wall-size maps of the Middle East.
I told her I would forward them next week.
3. (Unclassified - MG) LIAISON Per her earlier request,
sent to Tania Demchuk, in the office of Representative
Richard Kelly (R., Fla.), the "People's Republic of China
Atlas" and "China City Briefs" on Canton, Peking, and
Shang-hai.
4. (Unclassified - MG) CONSTITUENT Per her request of
yesterday on behalf of a constituent, sent to Lynn Thomas,
in the office of Senator-John C. Culver (D., Iowa), some
general information about the CIA.
5. (Unclassified - MG) LIAISON Per her request of
12 December, sent to Kaki Bertelsen, in the office of
Representative Paul N. McCloskey (R., Calif.), two copies
of "Chiefs of State and Cabinet Members of Foreign Governments"
and two wall-size maps of Southeast Asia.
6. (Unclassified - DFM) LIAISON Called Bob Maynes,
in the office of Senator Dennis DeConcini (D., Ariz.), and
set next week's briefing on SALT verification in S-407 of
the Capitol. In addition, I told Maynes we were attempting
to conserve the time and energy of our principal SALT
briefer and would like to invite Senator John Durkin (D., N.H.)
to attend the same briefing. Maynes said he was sure Senator,
DeConcini would have no problem with this.
