nomination.
Select Committee on Intelligence staff, to inform him of Levine's request
for an. Agency interview regarding the nomination of Ambassador Frank
Carlucci as DDCI and told him in addition I would proceed to set up
previously requested interviews with Agency officers on the 25x1
8.1 BRIEFING Accompanied John McLaujk~t,
all of NFAC, 25x1
and CI Staff, to a briefing of the House Permanent Selecf 5X1
Committee on Intelligence staff. The briefing was one of the regular
bi-weekly series of intelligence briefings. Subjects covered today
included Soviets' loss of a TU-95 aircraft, the current situation in
Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Italy, and a lengthy presentation on Soviet
intelligence including the KGB, GRU, and Soviet SIGINT capabilities.
Attending from the staff were Thomas K. Latimer, Staff Director, Mike
O'Neil, Pat Long, Dick Giza, Jim Bush. and Bernie Raimo.

in the office o Representative John T. Myers (R., Ind. ), requesting a
brochure--clerical and professional. OLC Registry was advised.
