SUBJECT: House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
Briefing on Terrorism - 11 May 1978, 0845 to 1100 hours
1. Knowing of your interest on the HPSCI hearing on legal
impediments to our support in the fight against terrorism, I wanted
to make sure that you were aware of what is being planned.
2. The witnesses and the subjects on which they will speak are
as follows:
(a) DDO - Will define the
"problem" and will explain which components within
CIA address the problem and how. He will give an
opening statement of less than ten minutes.
(b) I - Will talk
about Covert Action Staff (propaganda and training
of foreign services). His opening remarks will take
less than five minutes.
