I have just received the final report of our study of
November 1977 on U.S. Energy Demand and Supply for the
Dingell committee. The supply projections for the plan-
ning case are low, but not unrealistic. The planning
case still assumes doubling of oil reserve additions
throughout 1985. If coal use cannot be increased any-
where near the President's target, we will be in deep
trouble.
