The Central Intelligence Agency offers no objection to the administration's proposal to establish a Commission on Retirement Policy to investigate and evaluate public and private retirement programs in the United States. The scope and purpose of the investigation are commendable. 2. It should be noted, that while the Agency will be ready to participate in furnishing the Commission information on CIARDS, the extent to which we may provide data on funding and numbers of personnel will be restricted by our responsibility to protect classified information. In any event, we shall cooperate to any extent possible and to this end would nominate Deputy Director of Personnel for Special Programs, to serve as the contact officer to handle any requests from the Commission.
