III have been advised that the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct would like to speak to you in connection with its Korean influence investigation. A copy of the House Resolution authorizing that investigation is attached. 21Ihe scope of the Committee's questions may touch upon matters which you have pledged not to reveal, pursuant to the terms of the Termination Secrecy Agreement which you executed upon leaving'the Agency. I have determined that disclosure of otherwise protected information relevant to the Committee's investigation to the Committee or its designated staff members will constitute authorized provision of information within the meaning of your Secrecy Agreement. Should you consent to be interviewed by the Committee you should, of course, bear in mind the protection of covert sources and operational methods. You will be able to receive guidance from my designees on the applicability of this authorization to particular questions . .. 3.
