2.5. (Unclassified - THW) LIAISON I returned Bill Hogan's,
I-louse Armed Services Committee staff, call to Lyle Miller of 10 May.
Hogan said thati , IC Staff, had called Kim Wincup, also
on the Committee staff, to discuss the transfer of slots from DOD to
Resource Management Staff and Collection Tasking Staff. He said they
would be happy to work out with us and the oversight committees whatever
we felt was necessary but they would like to have a complete briefing
in order to get a better grasp of what is necessary. I told him I would
set something up. I then called I nd related the conversation
and offered to set up a briefing. She said that she would rather set the
briefing up herself and indicated that OIL should not be involved.

would try to find out what the message she had received was and would

27. (Unclassified - TI1W) BRIEFING Called Florence Roth,
Personal Secretary to Senator Daniel P. Moynihan (D. , N. Y. ), to set
up a briefing for the Senator on Angola. She suggested that the briefers
meet with Senator Moynihan at 12:00 noon in S. 407 of the Capitol when
he breaks from a Senate Select Committee on intelligence hearing.

28. (Unclassified - THW) LIAISON Josh Bill, Legislative Assistant-
for Representative Robert E. Bauman (R., Md. ), called requesting the latest
unclassified figures on Cuban troops in Africa and unclassified current infor-
mation on Soviet military supplies to African movements. I told him we had
no unclassified information but if he were merely looking for ball park figures
he could find them in Newsweek magazine of four or five weeks ago. He
thanked me for the reference.
