SUBJECT: Briefing of Representative Charles Rose (D., N.C.),
Member of the House Permanent Select Committee
on Intelligence, 9 February 1978
MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
1. On 9 February 1978 I met Representative Charles
Rose an is Giza, of the staff, at 0800 hours at the front entrance
to the Agency. Four separate briefings were scheduled with OTS,
the Operations Center, OER and OSR. The OER section was skipped
due to the press of time. The briefing sessions went as follows:
a. The OTS briefing was accomplished in the
Office o e hief of DDS&T, Mr. Les Dirks, and was
largely handled by the Chief of OTS, Mr. David S. Brandwein.
Mr. Rose had three questions that were essentially unanswerable
by the briefers (but will be directed to DDO at some future date)-
(1) [1 He wanted to know what kind of technical
support is rendered to other U. S. Government agencies.
