1. At a recent briefing of the Senate Select Committee
on Intelligence, Senator Stevenson asked Deputy Director
Frank Carlucci about Executive Branch activities to counter
international terrorism. ]Mr. Carlucci explained CIA programs
but was unable to satisfy the Senator regarding what activities
are undertaken by other Government departments and agencies.
He offered, however, to submit for the record a report on
Executive Branch activities to include inputs from CIA, FBI
and Department of Defense.
2. Will you please have prepared a report setting forth
Bureau activities and programs to combat international terrorism?
I would like to have such a report to submit to the Committee
by 21 April. If you see a better way to handle this, as by
direct contact between the Bureau and the Select Committee
staff, please let me know. Thank you.
