the letter and is making no comment. I requested that GAO send the
Agency a letter to confirm this for the record. I will call Fowler
to set up a meeting early next week to review GAO's report to
determine what portions on CIA can be declassified.,, Mr. Theodore
Shackley, SA/DCI/CT, was advised.
on the staff of the House Government Operations Subcommittee on
Government Information and Individual Rights, to advise him that
Anthony Lapham, General Counsel, would not have sufficient time to
prepare his testimony for the hearing scheduled for Thursday,
12 September, regarding the Agency's handling of criminal cases
involving national security. The hearing was rescheduled for
Tuesday, 19 September
Ingram asked that a meeting be set up with the Inspector
General on Friday afternoon, 8 September at Headquarters to discuss
the IG's role in reporting improprieties to the Intelligence
Over ht Bon-rd_ This is a follow-up to a meeting of Tim Ingram
with OGC, earlier this year.
