Dear Mr. Carpentier: In connection with its investigation into the circum- stances surrounding the death of President John F. Kennedy, the Select Committee requests access to the following: Any and all reports or documents concerning or referring to a Cubana Airlines flight from Mexico City to Havana between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. EST on 11/22/63 and the unidentified passenger who reportedly boarded the plane late and rode in the cockpit. Reference: CIA cable from CIA Headquarters to Mexico City station on 12/1/63; Church Committee Report, Book V, p. 60- 61, fn. 68, 69. Any and all reports or documents concerning or referring to an unidentified Cuban-American who crossed border into Mexico at Nueva Laredo from Texas on 11/23/63 and arrived in Mexico City on 11/25/63; he flew to Havana on 11/27/63 on a Cubana Airlines flight using an expired American passport which was issued to him in Havana in July, 1960. He reportedly married an American woman in August, 1962.
