SUBJECT: Briefing of Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on
Legislation - 5 January 1978 II
1. On 5 January 1978, Agency representatives 25X1
met with t e Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Legislation
and briefed them on Soviet Civil Defense. The briefing was held
in 224 Russell Senate Office Building and lasted from 10:00 a.m.
until 12:45 p.m. A transcript was taken. The briefing was
at the non-compartmented level until 12:30 p.m., at which
time the S. Res. 4 staff appointee was requested
for a brief discussion of 25x1
collection of intelligence tor the Soviet Civil Defense Study
and the problems which limit the collection of pertinent data.
