I am forwarding a detailed report on the infrastructure, in response
to your request of last year, reiterated in your 21 April 1978 letter.
The contents of this report conform to requirements agreed on at a
meeting between members of your Committee's staff and Agency
representatives on 6 June. We felt it appropriate to delay submittin he STAT
re ort until the SCC had conducted its review of the infrastructure
An oral briefing on
infrastructure operations, on a more sensitive level, is being prepared,
in accordance with a request of your staff.
Enclosed with the report for your information is an unclassified
study on Soviet propaganda recently prepared at the request of the
House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
