RES. 400, 94TH CONGRESS) WASHINGTON, D.C. 20510 jo'7a>'(2 October 19, 1978 The Honorable Stansfield Turner Director Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D. C. 20505 REFER TO The Select Committee on Intelligence is conducting an extensive study of U.S. anti-terrorist capabilities. It would help the Committee if your representatives would meet with ours in a "wrap-up" session for this study. We would appreciate it if, at that time, your representatives would: 1. Bring the Committee up to date on all organizational and procedural developments in effect or contemplated in connection with this subject; and 2. Specify any legislative proposals for the Congress. This would be aided by documented cases or examples to support any such proposals. We suggest that this meeting be held in the Select Committee offices during the last week T,yy~e Arrangements may be made throug Mr. Abram Shulsky of the Committee staff. The Central Intelligence Agency has been very cooperative in this study, and we look forward to concluding the effort with continued cooperation. Birch Bayh Chairman Adlai E.
