3515 Annex 2
Enclosed are some points that we
would much appreciate Chairman Fraser
making at the opening of our session
on Thursday. Could you show the
paper to him in advance and then
store it for him in your facilities?
It has to be classified because it
contains our man's name. Let me
know if there is any problem.
Thank you.

Statement for Chairman Fraser
This morning we will be receiving separate briefings from the
CIA and the FBI on North Korean intelligence and subversive activities .
These will be informal, background, executive sessions, and no
official transcripts will be taken. The briefings will be at the Secret
level of classification, and I would like to remind Members and staff
that the information we will be receiving must not be discussed with
anyone not having both the appropriate security clearance and a
legitimate need-to-know. Any notes taken during these sessions must
be classified Secret and handled accordingly.
With that, I would like to introduce
Office of Legislative Counsel, and
Directorate of Operations. Our CIA briefer will be
understand that he has considerable experience in Korean affairs.
Because our briefer is not an overt CIA employee and an
inadvertant disclosure of his relationship with the Agency could
jeopardize his future career, I would ask that you treat his identity
with the utmost discretion, and that you refrain from including it in
your notes even though they are classified.
I believe we are ready to proceed.
