(S~f~) Propellant transfer operttiuns for SS-18 X10[)-~1 post-huust vehicles (PBVs) at three SS-iK rail-tu-road transfer points (RTPs) indicate that the PBVs arc fueled prior to hcing delivered to launch sites. SS-IH payload-associated transporters (PATS) have peen observed at the oxidizer dispensing huildings of the ICBM RTPs at Aleysk, Domharovskiv. and Zhangiztuhc (Bf~: respectively?). The PAT is used to transport a cunipo- 2j)(1 Went of the SS-12; h10D-4 PBV bet~~~een an RTP and a launch site. The SS-IK h1OI~-~3 is deployed in several launch groups at each of the six SS-18 complexes (E~igure 1). ?. (S/U) At Zhangiztuhe ICBM RTP on an SS-IH 1'A~h and a propellant 25X1 transfer support vehicle were at the oxidizer dispensing building (Figure ~). Two rahlcs~huscs connected the propellant transfer support vehicle to an unidentified piece of cyuipmcnt on the ground next to the PBV environmental container un the P;1T. This unidentified piece of cyuip- nienl, connected lu the oxidizer dispensing building by at least one cahlc~husc, has only been seen during PBV propellant-related activity and may be a propellant flo~+ monitoring device. Similar PBV propellant-related activil}? was seen at Ale}'sk ICBM RTP and l~omhanwskiv ICB~1 RTP. (S) C'unnnents and yuerics regarding this report are ~~ekome.
