TITLE/SIGNIFICANCE:
Soviet AKDS-70 Air Separation Plant for Producing Medical Oxygen
COMMENT: The AKDS-70 vehicle set, for producing oxygen for use by pilots, is composed of
three pieces of equipment (compressor van, technological van, and diesel electric gener-
ator trailer). The compressor van has three vent/windows, the technological van has
four vent/windows on the chamfer portion of the van which is mounted on a KRAZ 214/219
chassis. The generator trailer is as long as the van portion of the compressor unit and
has a rounded roof.
