1. In response to a verbal request from as stimulated
by reference (a). the Military Scientific Branch has made a rapid survey
of photo coverage and/or collateral information on the areas mentioned.
Initial findings are reported in reference (b).
2. Unless otherwise advised it wilt be assumed that these pre-
liminary findings meet your initial requirements. If a more detailed
analysis is desired I would suggest that OCI or OSI be designated as the
primary responder with HTA to provide such supporting details as might
be derived from our photographic holdings.

THEN WENT ON TO PRESENT BRIEFING ON CONSTRUCTION OF SUPER AIR BASES
AT GROSS DOLLN, CENTRAL KOLA, ANADYR, KAMACHATA AND SEVERAL OTHER PLACES IN
WEST AND CENTRAL RUSSIA. BASED ON GROSS DOLLN AND OTHER-EVIDENCE, CLEAR THAT
THESE BASES OF UNPRECEDENTED SIZE, SELF-SUFFICIENCY, AMO HARDNESS. EACH COMPLETE
COVERING FUEL STORAGE, STANDS, PERSONNEL QUARTERS, ETC. COVERS AREA SEVEN BY
FIVE MILES. RUNWAYS UPWARDS 12,000 FEET CONCRETE IMO CENTIMETERS THICK (CF 30
CENTIMETERS NORMAL HEAVY BOMBER RUNWAY) TAXIWAYS TWO-ONE HALF TIMES AS WIDE AS
