A great amount of branch effort was directed toward the destruction of classified materials no longer needed and a general cleanup and rearrangement of the area for future work. Several excellent movies were obtained from ABC this past month for the Scientific Branch. These movies dealt with various nucl facilities in the U.B. and were shown to a joint group of CIA., Army., and Navy PI's interested in this field. 2. M LITARY BRANCH a. Project work accounted for 41% of all Branch time during the month. EXPLOITATION ASSISTANT 25X1 MR x.59 b. On 11 June a trip was made t 25 to aid men o a contract for making a stereogrem cutter and a stereogram aperture card format. c. Five copies of the MSD aircraft key were reproduced, as a result of a requirement from the Navy, and two copies went to them via CCS. d. As part of the division reorganization the contents of all safes and map cases were consolidated or destroyed. e. A review of photographs and diagrams held in the AE collection tile was made in order to select examples for the Nuclear Energy card file. f. With the help of analysts from the Military Branch a start was made in reorganizing the stereogram file by subject. TRAINING 25X1 5. ADMINISTRATION AND PLANNING a. A briefing was held in the main conference room by bstituting for fir. Lundahl. MR 6-59 turned to effecting these changes. References and file materials were reviewed and consolidated and equipment moved to provide for more efficient working conditions. 25X1 0 C. This month afforded an opportune time for annual leave which was taken advantage of by a number of the analysts. d? In the interest of completing certain projects as soon as possible, work has been concentrated on eleven projects; others previously assigned have been temporarily set aside. 25X1 b. gave a briefing for DDP personnel - -LIP MY J-Y.I)Y on a findings of JP 15/58. 25X1 25X1 c. On 20 *y 1959: sisyed Dr. Scoville and in 25X a presentation or national estimates to 25, and staff at the Pentagon. The presentation itself was given by Dr. Scoville and reflected OSI estimates in the nuclear energy field. 2. MILI'!'AFtX BRANCB a. Project work accounted for 699 of all branch time during the month. Fourteen projects were Completed, fourteen projects were assigned to analysts, and thirteen projects were carried forward. b. EXPLOITATION ASSISTANT The major activities engaged in were: a. A CBR briefing was given, with joint participation by the Army, on 14 by and repeated on 15 May.
