1. During April 1961 a photo interpretation officer from
CIA/PID(]1PIC) was assigned temporarily to 0 to provide photo
intell gence support to the Air Operations Branch of DPD/DDP during
the Bay of Pigs exercise. It was the primary duty of the PI to brief
air staff personnel and aircraft crews on target materials, debrief
aircraft crews after a mission, and to maintain current situation
boards and maps. The target material had been prepared by PID in the
months preceeling April. Me current situation material posted,
