CUTTING OF PID'S FILM COPY
1. Full frames of a mission may be cut from a roll and the frame must
remain intact until one week prior to the return of the mission to the
film file.
2. A record of the Mission/Pass/and Frame number must be kept and signed
for by the person obtaining the film. (Record to be kept in Support Staff/PID).
3. Frames of primary targets will go to the branch having the major interest..
In cases where two or more branches have targets of equal priority, there
will be free exchange of the material with the original procurer responsible
for its safekeeping.
4. Frames retained by the PI's for current work must be handled with care
at all times to prevent scratching or bending.
5. Splicing of the film roll will'be accomplished with opaque pressure
sensitive tape.
6. One week prior to the return of the mission to the film file the material
will be available for the cutting of film chips for stereograms and frames
for retention. (2, 3, 4, and 5 above will apply at this time also.)
7. Frames containing a number of installations in a limited area will be cut
so as to include the total complex in order that areas of interest to several
branches will not become disjointed. (Example: an airfield, AE installation,
and missile production facility.
8. Pi's retaining full frames or stereogram cht will be responsible for
the certification of its eventual destruction.
