(Contid) LEGEND Point #1. Grass Area: rectangular shape, 1,200 x 600 m. 2. Runway: grass, 340/160, 900 x 40 m., no boundary markers, no night lighting facilities. 3. World War II Radar Station: bombed out and never repaired, still gutted with bomb craters. 4. Aman: concrete, 60 x 8 to 10 m., used for parking, re- fueling (light aircraft only), and engine run-ups and tune-ups. 5. LiEluaz: light-colored stuccoed brick, 50 x 25 x 10 m., built around four concrete corner pillars; with a sloping tar-painted roof, corrugated metal sliding doors on east side; contained parking, repair shop, and parts storage for light aircraft. 6. Restaurant and Small Farm House: two-story; dark-colored stuccoed brick; 15 x 8 in,, shed-type roof. 50X1 7, Wooded Area: outside of airfield boundary, thinly covered ? with tall trees. 8. Position Line. where ground level dropped off approxi- mately li m, below runway leve3? Drop- off tapered off gradually toward the east, and aircraft had to taxi an far east ace the eastern edge of runway strip before being able to cross this drop-off area. 9.
