was organized in.the early thirties to centralize and supervise con-
struction and expansion of coal mines in the Georgian SSR. The
administrative offices of GruzShakhtoStroy were at 12 Spusk Elbakidze

construction of mines. The further expansion, of mines, maintenance,
and repair was the responsibility of the coal mine trust to which a..
mine was subordinate; this was. financed and acco shed through the
