Building A2. The equipment there consisted of three electric

side 6 the building was a room with three or four trar~sf ormers
Building B was a foundry (plavil'nyy tsekh) where cobalt was alleged-
ly produced. In this building were three electric furnaces: one was
about 4 m. high'and about 6 m. in diameter; the second was about 32
m. high and about 5 M. i diameter; the third was about 3 m. high and
about 5 M. in diameter, 'Metal from those furnaces was poured into
molds, of which there were about 50. The molds measured about 80 cm.
in length by about 50 cm. in width by about 10 cm. high. When cooled
this matte (shteyn) was silvery and shiny, about the color of iron
when it is broken into pieces. Other than these furnaces there was
only some conveying and transporting apparatus overhead which brought
coke and some kind of other material and dumped it into the furnaces.
The slag was carted to a dump near this building

of which are part of the Norilsk Nickel Combine. the
cobalt slag received from these two factories contained only 200 gr.
of cobalt per 10 tn. of slag. Attached to this building was an elec-
trical'control room.
5. The following were the other buildings belonging to Plant No. 25:
a.? Building C was a repair workshop (masterskaya).
b. Building D contained only offices.
a. Building E? housed a store, the kommandatura, and, possible,
elements of the MVD
d. Building F was a boiler and heating plant for the buildings of
Plant No. 25.
