traveled by bus from Spindleruv Mlyn to Vrchlabi (N 50-38, E].5-36)
and from Vrchlabi to Prerov (N L9.27, .E 17-27) by train. Passengers
on the bus, who lived in the area through which the bus traveled,
pointed to an area where there were snow-covered mounds. The .
passengers stated that exploratory digging for uranium had .taken
place in fall 1953 but had ceased when winter came. Activity was
to be resumed in spring 1954 and ski lodges, pensions, and hotels
in Spindleruv Mlyn were to be closed to tourists.
Although no definite time had been set for closing ?the town, it
was then open to tourists for the last timp-I

of the Revolutionary Trade Movement (Revolucni odborove hnuti
ROH) as recreation centers.
