The .1 5th Separate Air Warning Battalion was formed in Blumau,
Austria, on approximately 14 March 1952. Commanding officer of
the Battalion is Col. Tsiptsivad;ze.. Administratively the battalion
is directly subordinate to Central Qroup of Forces (CGF), but
operational ly- it reports to CGF;via the Main Post Glavnyy Post)
in Baden,

C. M'41I9 battalion at Wien er N.eustadt.. This battalion
were sent to the 135th Sepa~rate:Air Warning Battalion as fillers.
It was a matter.of common knowledge around Battalion Headquarters at
Blumau that the strength of the battalion.was approximately 900 EM
and 45 or 47 officers.

In addition to its headquarters, the 135th Separate Air Warning
Battalion had the following components: let Cdrnpany, 2nd Company,
Training Company, Signal Company, and three radar posts. See
page 3 for an organizational chart of the battalion.2
