F---77]stated 50X1 that the abbreviation NKM stood for Najciezszy Karabin Maszymovy (Heaviest Machine Gun). He could not remember the exact caliber of this machine gun, but stated that it was larger than,12.7 - frim.' P. This machine gun was shown without mount in one of his classes and some character- . istics were given by the lecturer, the machine 50X1' gun had a slower rate of fire and a longer barrel than the 1.7- mm, DrhK, Model 38;that t ? a go port regulating device provided for adjusting the recoil during extreme cad Weatner-operations; and that the sight used with this machinci:gun,Was destghated'as 50X1 Model Kin had no further knowledge concerning 50X1 this sight. 3. this weapon would eventually be mounted on all heav tanks an the old model 12.7 - mm AA MG would be mounted on medium tanks, had no knowledge of any such changes being made, also recalled seeing a photo of the new Soviet machine gun in the Polish armo/C-d:;;Ls monthl;V journal Przeglad BrQni Pancernej, published during 1953.
