1. Following is the legend to the sketch on page 3:
a. A new eight-story building, built in 1947 or 1948? which was ocoupied by the.
AVH. /t oovered a square block, was built of white stucco, and had sAlat
roof.
b. The Ministry of Defense building, about 40x25x20m, was three stories tall, built
of yellow stucco, and had a high-pitched gable roof.
o. Another Ministry of Defense building, approximately 50x15x30m? was six or seven
stories high. It was built of white stone and had a flat roof. This building
was constructed in 1950 or 1951.
d. Several former AVH buildings which now house passport and visa se:Ail:gm, These
buildings are old, built of grey stucco, and are three to four stories high.
Guards were observed at the main entrances of these buildings and also at their
entrances on side streets. A guard was also observed at No. 60 Sztalin ut
former headquarters of the Hungarian Fascist organization, NYILAB.
e. An old grey building which housed the Budapest.city police. This building was
three stories high, located on a corner, and was about 15x15-20x15-20m.
f. A white /Stucco five-story building which also housed the Budapest city polim
This building, destroyed by fire during World War II, was reconstructed in 1953.
g. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, a corner building. approximately 20x20x20m?
was five stories tall and was built of red and grey brick.
h. The ANTI State Project Office, 40x15x18m, was a four-storyarey-Stupoo and brick
building with a high roof. Construction of this building was started about one
year ago '

I, the Hungarian Telegram Service (MTI), located on Naphegy utca. This building
was a four or five-story building of gray stucco.
J. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located at No. 11 Beim Jdisef Rakpart, was five
stories tell and was built of briak: andnyellowatucco; its dimensions were
4040x25m. There were bars on the windows of the first floor.
k. Headquarters of the Hungarian WorkereParty was built in 1953; it measured
25x15x10m, was two stories tall, bad a flat roof, and was constructed of white
stone.
1. A military caserne
in. The State Map Institute where military maps were made. The building was three or
four stories tall and was an old building of dirty yellow stucco.
2. Following is the legend to the sketch on page 41
a. Sashegy? an area on top of a hill,wtich had some unidentified restricted instal-
lations.
b. Hungarian Optical Works (Magyar Optikai Mavik - MOM), located at Osorss utca and
Nagy Janos utca, was constructed' after World War II. It manufactured optical
instruments and alarm clocks.

c. The Architectural Scientific Institute (ETI) occupied two floors of a five-story,
red brick corner building. Under the building, a passagewaY ran between two streets.
This building, approximately 35x20x25m4 had apartments and shops on the third,
fourth, and fifth floors.
d. Gable Factory (Kihelgyir) which employed between 300 and 400 workers. The factory
manufactured trays, telephones, door handles, and phonograph disco of bakelite. ,
The former manager of this faotory was Bogoyev (Mu); the chief engineer was
Giza Bernhart.
