The potential for such manufacture does exist at the Skoda cirks and. ueska.c,urojovka (Czech armament) plants, but that these plants are producing Soviet weapons or ammunition. The following weapons have been adopted by the Almy and are currently in use: (a) Rifle: Model 24 caliber 7192, of Czech manufacture . styled after the German model 98N with two main differences; the Czech rifle has a straight bolt while the German model had a curved bolt; the Czech rifle has a metal belt swivel screwed into the underside of the butt of the stock while the German model had a belt slot cut through the stock. (d) Sub machine gun: The Czech sub machine gun is .a postwar- , developed weapon manufactured by Ceska Zbrojovka in 1948 and 14.90 at Brno, Usetin and Povazska Bystrica where :plants of Ceakca Zbrojovka are located. It is manufactured in thr, fllodels all of'which are 9mm caliber and magazine fed. Hau4IneL.7 are of two capacities, 24 and 40 rounds, The ma6azine is straight and not curved-like the Soviet The, three models are: (1) Model 48 A is a one piece gun with a wooden stock; (2) Model 48 B is all metal with a hinged metal stock which roldia over the top of the gun similar to the Soviet model PPS M1943. I the Czechs have ?MOdiried the GerMah model and have increased its effective range to 300 meters and that it is being manufacturpA by the Czechs. .(f) Pistol: Currently there are two types of pistols in ? uSe in the Czech army; the German 9mm pistol, and the ,Soviet pistol TT m2933 Tokarev. Mortars: There are two types of mortars which are in ust,in the Czech Army: the German 80mm mortar, and the Soviet 82mm, mortar 1943 model. (g) The ammunition used in both mortars 'during training was the 80mm ammunition abandoned by the Germans, when they left Czechoslovakia. 3. .The following anti-tank weapons were used by the Czech Army: (a) Panzerfaust: The German model 2e para 227.
