clinics ~tnd hospitals had a sufficient supply of good duality materials arid. instruments;
these goods t~rere obtained from the City or Oblast Pharmaceutical Adrn~nistratian. Gener-

-types of metal instruments a.nd casings (gi.l'za). However, I think that tY.~ese items are 50X1
50X1 still procurable from government warehouses but only by government installations.

German and Soviet sta~i7.ess steel and orcelain were =~1so used.. As a rule rr~ostly German
50X1 materials were used but in the middle of 1951 more Soviet products

duc-ts would be employed in dente.l work by the Sovie~is~in the Eastern Zone of Germany.
3. Practically all government installations obtain -their supplies from the City- or Oblast
Pharmaceutical Administration; in the case of polyclinics in rural areas supplies are pro-
cured from the local city health units, The latter usually are not well-stocked a.nd the
rural polyclinic is compelled to buy an the o,~ien markets order from the Oblast Pharma-
ceutical Administration, or order directly from Moscow. However, materials ordered from
Moscow by installations other than government warehouses are usua7.ly of a. very poor t~ti~ality?
The various government warehouses order their supplies directly from Maseow.
