Kromeriz (49?18'N. 17?24'E) located in the heart of the
richest agricultural section of Moravia, sketch not
drawn to scale showing the location of the principal buildings. LEnclosure A7
Number on the sketch are identified by the corresponding numbers listed below.

1) Masaryk Square
2) City Hall - stone construction about 60 years old in 1948. It Ms three
floors and a large tower.
3) Police Station - three floors, brick construction. It was built in the late
1920's. There is a small jail annexed to the rear of the first floor of
this structure. Fire station is also located in this building.
4) Labor Office - three floors, stone construction.
5) Old Castle - formerly the residence of the Archbishop. It has a high
baroque tower. German occupation army stored ammunition in the cellar of
this building.
6) Kovarska street - paved with cobblestones. Two lanes wide.
7) Vodni street - part of it is four lanes wide, ie from the river to neer
Komensky square (No.29 ). The remainder is two lanes wide. The entire
street is paved with cobblestones.
8) Railroad-station for freight and passenger. trains.
9) Bridge across the Moravia river for motor vehicles and passengers. Two
lanes wide. It has a cobblestone deck. This 'was built in 1945 or 1946.
10) Railroad bridge, single-track leading to Zborovice. It_is of wood
construction and about 10 meters above the water level. It is about 25
meters long. It was built in 1945.
11) Railroad bridge - single track to Kojetin. It is about 25 meters long and
of steel construction. (Bridge No, 9 and No. 10 are separated by a 10 minUte
walk. Bri ries No. 9 and No. 11 are about one-half hour's walk apart.)
.12) Airfield - It is frequently used as
a drill field by Czech army. There are no paved landing strips on this
field.
13) Infantry.barracks.__ One major stone building and several smaller wooden
structures. The soldiers took about 30 minutes to march from these
barracks to the airfield (No. 12).

14) The road from the barracks (No. 13) to the airfield (No. 12) was in very
poor condition, two lanes wide paved with gravel.
15) A large warehouse of stone and wood construction. It was used b'Y*,Czechs to
store army equipment The building is in good condition. It was built in
1939. It is about a 10 minute walk from here to the airfield (No. 12)
16) District Office - stone construction, four floors. It is the largest
building in the town.
17) Beet Sugar Refinery, pour floors. Located on the banks of the Moravia
River about 200 meters north of No. 9,
18) Brewery - located about two blocks east of Masaryk Square.
19) Hydroelectric power plant located about a 20 minute walk from the railroad
bridge (No 11). The power plant was built in the 1930's. It supplies
power for the entire town.
20) Post office, telephone and telegraph building - brick construction, four
floors. It is located one block southwest of Masaryk Square. It was built
in the 1930's.
21) Two steel transmitter towers. They are located about one-half hour's walk
from the barracks (No. 13). 50X1
22) St. Marie's Catholic Church. Located a short distance east of tne police
station (No. 3).
23) St. Mary's Catholic Church - located one block south of the post office

24) St. John the Baptist Church - located about one block north of St. Marie's
Church (No. 22).
25) Gymnasium - located about' one-half block north of St. John the Baptist Church.
26) General Hospital for the district - brick construction, four floors. Bed
capacity about five hundred. Built in 1930's. It is directly across the
street from No. 28.
Court House and Jail - three floors, ctone construction.

28) Insane Asylum - bed capacity about one thousand.
29) Komensky Square
Electricity was available and water was supplied by a municipal water plant.
