1. The USSR Ministerstvo P tei Soobscheniye rthe USSR Ministry of Transpor-
tatift.,Sommnunication.7 which Is located in Moscow is charged with the
responsibilities of administrating all functions of USSR railways. As a
matter of fact, the Minister is additionally responsible for the operation
of the Moacov Metropolitan the Moscow Subvail and all other subsurface
transportation routes in the UBBR.
2. The chart on page two and subsequent legends a, b, c, d, and e depict
that might be termed the chain of command and responsibilities in the
USSR railway system.
