Proposed Project, YAlita Consumption of Petroleum Products,
Sino-Soviet Bloc, 1958 and Forecast for 1959
1. At the 9 June 1959 meeting (PSC-M-59)8 the Subcommittee
on Petroleum unanimously agreed that a project should be undertaken
to produce estimates of the consumption of petroleum products by
the military forces of the Sino-Soviet Bloc in 1958 and 1959-
2. The proposed project is an updating of EIC-PSC-WP-2
(Limited Distribution), Military Consumption of Petroleum Products,
Sino-Soviet Bloc,, 1956-57, 1 March 1958, Secret.
3. The proposed project will require contributions from
Army, Navy, and. Air Force intelligence components.
4. A completion date of 30 November 1959 was suggested.
5. It is requested that the necessary action be taken to
obtain E.IC approval for the subject project.
